In the current implementation there is no way to know how long a voice clip can be until you use the time (15 seconds) up. Also you can't send very short voice clips.
So together with the cancel button a progress bar would be useful that tells you when you have reached the minimum length of a voice clip and when you will reach the maximum length.

Hi there, sorry for the bad news, but WLM has been discontinued by Microsoft, so this bug will be closed.
