Got to Help/Components Info, and look if XMP is supported by Exiv2 (compiled with XMP sdk from Adobe). If not, update Exiv2 on the right way Gilles Caulier Thank you Gilles, I've test it, and it says xmp is supported. I've test it in 2 computers, the second one with 1.0.0.beta5 (Ubuntu repos). No working at all. David Just to be sure : do you have checked the right options in digiKam Metadata setup pannel ? Gilles Caulier I think so, Save image tags as "keyword" tags... Save image rating as tags... But I've tried any possible combinatination before posting... David Ok I've recompiled digikam and kipi-plugins After digikam v 1.2, nothing changed. After kipi recompile, extrange behaviour: -If I press the button More - Read metadata from file into database nothing hapens -If I set a tag in digikam and go to XMP data, The kewords are there!!! -If I open xmp editor the keywords are there!! -If I go to file sistem, no xmp sidecar is created. -If I try to import a xmp sidecart manualy (Image-Metadata-Import XMP) an error rises ... Forget XMP sidecar. It's not yet managed by digiKam. If this is the lead subject of this report, there is already an entry in bugzilla, digiKam section. Gilles Caulier It's not working again I've recompile to Version 1.2.0 (rev.: 1100329) and tags are not written to xmp. David When can we hope to see sidecar support? exiv2 already has support for reading and writing xmp sidecars. I suppose that digikam should perhaps do more than just reading from / writing to a sidecar file, e.g. make sure it follows photo files if they are moved, renamed, and so on. But perhaps a first step could be to just enable reading and writing sidecar files? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 220545 *** Fixed with bug #220545 |
