I have a dual monitor setup and configured it through the Display Size & Orientation panel in SystemSettings.  After I configure it, every thing is fine, even if I log out and back in.  However, if I reboot I lose my settings and it will only display whatever was on DVI-0.

I have a quite same problem on ArchLinux (and previously on debian with KDE 4.3.4). I think that the problem is that you don't load Krandrtray on startup. But then you could have the following problem :

In other words, when you start your computer without the external monitor, your desktop is always display on both screen (laptop + missing external!!)

I am hitting this issue on a desktop system where it is always plugged into two monitors.  I will re-test this, but I believe if I unhook one monitor, the system will come up in the LCD's native resolution (unlike when I have two monitors plugged in) and whatever the configuration (plasmoids, etc) is of the DVI-0 display, will be displayed on my monitor.  I would not expect to have to also add krandrtray to my autostart settings to make this the default (although I will try it as a workaround), the size and orientation configuration should do whatever is neccessary to make that happen.  It is nice that you can set this up via the configuration without having to resort to the commandline and editing the X.org config, as was required with Kubuntu 9.10.

For my part, I have not add krandrtray to my autostart setting too. But Yesterday after a reboot without my external screen I load krandrtray, then my laptop monitor shutdown...

I also thank the team for its great work, which allow us to extend desktop with a simple GUI.
