What I was doing when the application crashed:
KPackageKit notified me of updates.  This got in the way (of MythTV) so I chose not to use the KPackageKit service, so that it wouldn't bother me in future.  I also went into KPackageKit to look at the settings.  I didn't change anything, and I exited.

A little while laster, this crash happened, and KPackageKit notified me of updates again, and warned me about not being able to find any mirrors.
