*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 223034 *** It appears it's not a dupe, bug 223034 is fixed, mine isn't. The same problem happens here with KDE 4.6.2 on Gentoo Linux (Kontact/Kmail 4.4.11.1). I never used this before so I cannot say if this bug is new, I was only trying this because a friend asked me how to use this feature. He also has the same Problem with KDE 4.6 (I don't know more details). BTW, after this incident he quit using KDE4, it's too unstable for him and he expects such things like distribution lists to just work. Are distribution lists working for anyone? After being a happy user of my dist lists on older kaddressbook versions and to find them unusable is almost a showstopper! When something gets an upgrade it should be to add more functionality and fix bugs not take out features that the dreaded M$ users take for granted! Dist lists are part of email no matter what platform one chooses to use! It's no good saying "use groups" they don't work either Add two contacts to a new group and group remains empty! My distro is Gentoo and KDE version is 4.6.2 Kaddressbook is 4.4.11 and kmail is 1.13.7 I had no reason to use my dist lists before this recent update but that had worked fine about a year back and I have a vague recollection of checking them in the 4.4 kde release! Ang Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
