AFAIK the screen edges are considered when placing windows. Personally I cannot remember that any window opened in the right upper corner with placement policy smart. I think it is a too rare issue to consider spending more time on it. FTR: a) i doubt this ever was related to window snapping b) this should be no-issue with compositing anyway, because the deco (oxygen) is no longer xshaped but just transparent in that case (and this is the actual issue, only maximized windows used to have unshaped decos, thus catching the cursor in the top right edge) Bulk change: move all KWin kcm bugs to product kwin |
