Hi ! As usual, first, congrats to the KDE team for this awesome release !!

Here is the issue : sometimes, users manually define folders icons, or use scripts that modify them (for instance, the "Directory Cover" Amarok script that replaces the folder icon with the album cover).

However, if the previews are enabled in Dolphin for Folders, even if "use integrated preview" is ticked (or similar - I use the French version), the user-defined cover is shown then almost instantly replaced by the automatic folder preview.

I don't know if this behaviour is expected, but I guess an additional option should be added.

Cheers !

In KDE SC 4.5, the directory custom icon will be used, even when displaying image previews over it: bug 201850
If you want to disable this image previews over the folder icon, you can do it on Dolphin Settings/General/Previews/Uncheck "Directories"

Regards

Oops, didn't use the proper keywords when looking for an existing bug report.

Thanks ! Meanwhile, I can just disable (all) previews in the music directory and its subfolders (not by using the general Dolphin settings).

Cheers !
