Description m.wege 2010-02-23 09:47:41 UTC
Version: 4.4 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-20-generic

I have some contacts with foreign accents or letters in their names or address that do not exist in my language (German). Still I have them correctly saved in my addressbook, because I copied and pasted that into my addressbook. But sometimes I have problems to find these entries, because I I do not have those signs on my keybord or I do not remember exactly what accent exactly it was. Therefor I would suggest that the filter of addressbook (may be not only addressbook, perphaps if it does not exist there (have not tested) also in Nepomuk) should be more tolerant and match umlauts, accents and similar letters with their conterpart in the basic alphabet:
e.g
e=é è ê
a=ä á à â æ å
n=ñ
o=ó ô ò ø ö
i=í ì î
u=ü ú ù û
s=ß

There are surely more examples.
