I have the "File Watcher" plasmoid in use, watching /var/log/messages.
Today I discovered that it did not show any further output due to the fact that syslogd did a file switch.

This sounds exactly like the bug I fixed 2 days ago. Can you retest after updating kdelibs so that it includes r1093006?
