It would be great if you could add an option to place your image in a position other than the center when adding a frame in digikam via Edit Image-->Add Frame

When you look at a commercially available frame, the upper portion is usually a hint smaller than the lower portion to add a more stable appearance.

There are plenty of frame filter in Image Editor GmicQt tool which allows to do it :
