Description Sven Klomp 2010-02-19 16:14:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

I'm using the kmail resource to store my PIM data. After updating from KDE 4.3 to 4.4, I get the following problem:

After I added a calendar event or task, the event is immediately synchronised as expected. However, KMAIL show in the status bar, that it (in random order)
- Retrieves new messages
- Checking annotation support
- Removing deleted messages from server
- Uploading messages to server
and some other things for the Calendar or Task folder. And it repeats it on and on and on...

After I recognized that Kontact gets very slow, I found out that a lot of empty mails (up to two thousand) were added to the Calendar or Task folder (121B, unknown sender/date and without the normal iCal.... subject)

I removed al those empty mails via the web interface of my mail provider and refreshed the dimap cache. Kontact works fine until I add a new event..

After an update, the problem disappeared. So the bug can be closed.
Sorry for the noise...
