Version:           1.1.0 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), MS Visual Studio 2008 SP1)
Compiler:          cl.exe
OS:                Microsoft Windows (i686) release 5.1 (XP Professional)

While starting digikam on windows for the first time, I select a directory with pictures (JPGs, NEFs). I get the directory structure, but I cannot see a picture inside. I only get a message that kdeinit4 is crashing.
Viewing the pictures directly with showfoto is possible.

To be more specific: there is no information about the pictures shown in the album view at all. No thumbnail, no file name, no size, ...
In Help-> Database Statistics, I can see, that the images are read (e.g. 463 JPG, ...)

This is likely to be related to or a duplicate of bug 224038. If you can see pictures after random clicking on different albums then my guess is that you have the same problems as reported in 224038.

After upgrade to kdelibs 4.4.0-1, the issue is resolved
