Just recently I have been experiencing problems when burning audio cds with K3b with getting "cdrecord returned an unknown error (code 254) during the actual burn cd process on either my Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170A ide interfaced or NEC ‎DVD_RW ND-3550A (Cypress AT2LP RC7) usb interfaced cd/dvd drives. I have tried using DAO and TAO writing modes without success. I have tried different blank audio cds without success and the odd thing is K3b was working fine six months ago. However, a few weeks ago I burned a large Mandriva Linux 2010.0 iso image to a dvd without problems. I don't know what the problem is. It's not a permission issue nor a problem with my cd/dvd drives. I didn't install any new plugins for K3b.

In an attempt to clean up old bugs that are not valid for K3b 2.0 (=KDE SC 4.x port) anymore, this is now being marked as UNMAINTAINED.
If this bug is still valid for 2.0, please reopen it.
