Description Davor Cubranic 2010-02-17 22:38:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

KPackageKit (on KUbuntu 9.10 Karmic) shows only the required packages in its 'depends on' pane. While this is correct in a narrow sense, it would be really useful if there were a way to also show the suggested packages. This information can be seen in any other installation tool (e.g., aptitude), and can be quite important to a user.

I filed originally a bug with Ubuntu (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kpackagekit/+bug/522941), but they suggested that requests for new features should be submitted to KDE directly.

This depends on PackageKit changes in it's API.
Which can or can't be accepted by it's author.
Possibly in PackageKit 0.7 we will have this.
