Description Ivan Korotkov 2010-02-16 18:46:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
Compiler: gcc 4.4.3 (Gentoo 4.4.3 p1.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

How to reproduce:
 * create and image object in javascript, set it's "display" style to "none"
 * set it's onLoad handler to function that reset "display" back to "inline"
 * open page in konqueror

What is expected:
 * onLoad handler shall fire after image has been completely loaded

What is observed:
 * image appears while still loading.

do you have, by any chance, a complete test case you could attach?

Comment 3 Ivan Korotkov 2010-02-16 21:28:13 UTC
After some experiments I came to conclusion that bug is less obvious. Seems that onLoad() is called immediately for newly created DOM nodes.

Here is an online example: http://twee.cc/~twee/konq-reload-test.html
In other major browsers, image with "1" first loads, then after few seconds it switches to image with "2" (when it's completely loaded).
In konqueror, image "1" loads, then you can see how image "2" loads.

I have attached sources for this example.

Also, there is no difference in order in which 'src' attribute is set and 'load' event listener added (lines 9 and 10).
