Description Hans-J. Ullrich 2010-02-15 20:10:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Dear maintainers,

since a very long time (I believe since kde 3.2 or so), the entries in kmenu below the point "internet" are not sorted automatically. Whenever a new application is installed, it is not sorted alphabetically as expected, but put on top of the menu.

In other categories this is working perfectly, just in category "internet" it is NOT working. Strange: when I delete the menu below /.config (so that is has to be rebuild), then all entries below "internet" are correctly sorted.

I googled a little bit, and found this discussion, which describe my problem exactly. Sorry, it is in German, but if you can understand it and you are interested in, here is the link:

Please feel free, to change this bugreport to "Wishlist", if you think, this is not so important. Otherwise, it would be nice, if you could take a look on it.

Thank you very much!

Hans-J. Ullrich

No response; assuming it was fixed since then.
