OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

my panel setup:
application launcher --  virtual desktops -- task manager -- system tray -- clock

HOW TO REPRODUCE
- Click on the (i) button in the system tray
- expand the system tray to show the hidden items

Notice how one or two system tray images show over the clock. (artifacts)
To make them disappear, one must click on the clock.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The artifacts shouldn't appear there.

@Aaron: I would say that bug 226555, bug 226306, bug 219709 and part of bug 224769 are duplicates of this one. Could you double check it ?

Yes, looks like this bug has been reported before. Sorry, but the keywords I used to search didn't give me those results.
