The crash occured after I restarted Kontact. Before closing, the progress bar in the lower right corner of Kontact was stuck at 80%, the detailed view of this progress bar showed that it got stuck during the check of an IMAP account. Rechecking by hitting the "fetch mail"-button had no effect.
