This is what I had to do to fix the problem: 1. Create the account, and in the 'advanced' tab of the account creation dialog delete all the namespaces that were entered by the 'reload' button and enter my own ('mail') 2. Exit KMail without expanding the new account in the folder tree 3. Open kderc in the editor and locate the entry for the new account 3. in the account section, delete the lines '1=', '2=', and 'Namespace=' 4. change the 'Namespace:mail=' to 'Namespace:mail=/' 5. save kderc and start KMail 6. now only the mail folders appear in the folder list It looks like the namespace dialog does not produce correct config files. Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
