Description Christian Hartmann 2010-02-12 00:22:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

I have a second panel on the right side that auto-hides and contains a notes widget. When I have for example firefox open and move the pointer to the right to show the panel, I cannot insert or modify any content in the notes widget. Seems like something prevents the widget from getting the input focus.

I have not yet tried if this bug exists, too, when adding this widget directly to a desktop containment or if it's panel specific.

yes, it's panel specific and already reported i believe (has to do with panels not taking focus, even when they should as in this case)

yeah, one of our oldest ones actually :)
what we need are really working input methods, so we know when a text input widget has been focused and so force the focus on the window
