In the new 'Add Widgets' interface for KDE 4.4.0 there is no 'disable' option (or I couldn't find it) in the widget explorer as there used to be in the pre-4.4.0 version. This is too bad because 'I HATE cashew' has no plasma handles to disable it on the desktop itself. So I see it running in the explorer, but I can't disable it.

I think this was reported before but just dismissed as the "I hate the cashew" widget/plugin was just a hack; but I can't find the bug report ID.
Let the Plasma developers properly check this. Regards

Even if you say that the "I hate cashew" plugin is a hack, I could imagine widgets performing tasks without handles, that can not be removed anymore. Which could in the past. So this clearly makes it a regression, in my very humble opinion?

It was just a question because I don't really know about other invisible widget. Note that I'm not a Plasma developer...

I don't really think there are any other applets that disable the handle. (And that's a hack in and of itself)
