Version:            (using KDE 4.4.0)
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

I used terminus font in previous KDE versions. But after smooth upgrade to 4.4.0 the Konsole started to take ages to open.

I tried to set various preferences for it and I discovered it's a bitmap font issue.

If I use vector font (for example dejavu) konsole opens immediately. It takes about 3-4 sec with terminus (HW: 8CPU, 12GB RAM, nvidia binary drivers from suse 11.2 rpm)

P.S.: it looks like terminus font started to look ugly in kate/kwrite too... but it's a different issue.

That QTBUG-7011 was fixed in Qt-4.7.0, and the problem in the title of this bug report can not be reproduced with KDE-4.7.0 and Qt-4.7.3. So it seems really fixed.
