Version:           2.2.1.90 (using 4.3.95 (KDE 4.3.95 (KDE 4.4 RC2)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-19-generic

The lyrics widget in Amarok 2.2.1.90 is not providing a scroll bar so you can not view the entire song lyrics if they are long.  Going into edit mode provides a scroll bar so I can view the entire lyrics but shouldn't require edit mode to view.
