Description Thomas Grauschopf 2010-02-09 23:47:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I opened a PDF attachment in KMail with okular. Then, I stored it with "Save as" as a separate file. Next I added some reviews/annotations.

After closing and reopening the file the annotations were lost!

Please note however, that this does not happen when the file is opened from file system in first place. This way, annotations survive closing and reopening okular.

"Save as" does not change anything in the annotations of the document, at most content of form fields.

I should add that I renamed the file to the original attachment's name when using "Save as" because of the strange name it got from KMail: "thesis.pdf_[dR2463].pdf" --> "thesis.pdf".

Annotations made before and after using "Save as" were lost.

When I decide to not rename, however, the annotations are not lost.
