KDE.org homepage is 2.7 Megabytes is size and takes about 12 seconds to load on a high-speed connection.

The footer was already converted from PNG (1.3mb) to JPG (26kb). 
The teaser images are going to be cropped a bit too, to reduce their size.

Considering slide4.png is 975K, the math does not work out :)
