Description Morris 2010-02-05 16:42:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Add an option, like "http://www.windowclippings.com/screenshots/", a png with alpha channels preserved, for example: "http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/83/AMule_2_2_4.png".
It was possible with abscapture (http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:Qbg1JtBuSDkJ:dt.in.th/page2.html), but it's gone.

I believe it's better to assign it to Kgrab, since it has more attention.

Nice! The tool I used for that aMule's screenshot is back online.

"Abscapture is a tool written in Python that allows you to take screenshots with alpha transparency."

I'm sure if someone here finds the code useful (the app already is), he or she probably will implement this.

Here's the URL, there's also an explanation on how it is made: http://blog.dt.in.th/abscapture.html

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug. Spectacle is the replacement for ksnapshot now. Please test again and file a new bug for Spectacle if you still have issues. Thank you!
