When assigning tags, it would be fine if it is possible to always automatically assign also the parent tags.

E.g. having a tag tree, where "A" is the parent tag of "AA" and "AA" is a parent of "AAA". So when selecting tag "AAA" the tags "A" and "AA" should always be automatically selected.

Well, i recommend, to test 1.1.0 release or better, to try new code from trunk (1.2.0) where a lots of implementation have been rewritted using Qt4 Model View

This is already implemented in digikam 1.2.0. Just choose any tag in the right sidepanel, right click, and from the opening menu go to "Toggle Auto" and select "Parents". Also Children or Both are available.

Thanks to all. Yes, in the newer version than reported it is implemented. It works fine.
