I suspect this crash is related to this bug. I am sending this stack trace to see if it helps. Fedora 12 with all the latest updates; I get crashes after applying updates and on a nightly basis (not necessarily every night).

Opened it, clicked on software updates, started downloading and changing my wallpapers. Fresh install of KUbuntu, brand new, nothing new installed except wallpapers from the GUI add wallpapers thing.

Nothing. It simply crashed, maybe due to replaced libs/depencies.
It has to be secured that os-related programs being updated at shutdown or bootingtime before loading to get no incosistencies in memory.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was compiling my codes in C using gcc as usual , and just after i updated a package this crash happend , at the same time i was running : Opera , gkrellm , Wicd , Okular , chmsee , Eclipse and wine.
This never happend to me on the older versions of KDE.
