I created a new wired connection with a static IP and checked the box "Connect automatically", but the next time KNetworkmanager is started, it still uses the default "System eth0" and the connection I added has to be activated manually.

I have the same problem in kde 4.3.5 and 4.5 with the new knetworkmanager.

Is this possibly the same issue as Bug 222563?
