I get this too. In my case I'm using a .ics file managed by GCaldaemon (http://gcaldaemon.sourceforge.net/) and monitored by akonadi ical resource. At seemingly random but rather short intervals (about every 10 minutes) a 'Unknown error. (Cannot select this collection)' dialog box pops up, and akonaditray reports 'The file 'file:///path/to/file.ics' was modified while...' (the rest of the message is truncated in system tray). Possibly you have set timed saving? I set to save on every change (In reply to comment #2) > Possibly you have set timed saving? I set to save on every change I don't know where to find that option. It isn't in akonadi configuration nor in korganizer calendar setup. I get the same popup on KDE 4.4.2 installed from Gentoo packages when using an ics file written by another program in akonadi. The popup appears when the other program writes to the ics file. Getting the same popup on KDE 4.11.3 from Fedora, using a remote CalDAV account. KOrganizer is the only desktop calendar client accessing that resource (In reply to comment #5) > Getting the same popup on KDE 4.11.3 from Fedora, using a remote CalDAV > account. KOrganizer is the only desktop calendar client accessing that > resource Idem, with 4.11.3. The calendars indeed disappeared from KOrganizer, but a more specific error message would be useful. This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months. Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
