This looks more like a Qt bug. Could also be related to a buggy glibc, though. Please upgrade to Amarok 2.2.2 (http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.2.2) and get a newer glibc (available in the karmic-proposed repository, the package you need is called libc6 2.10.1-0ubuntu16).
