Version:           1.13.0 (using 4.3.95 (KDE 4.3.95 (KDE 4.4 RC2)), Kubuntu packages)

with an imap account, i selected a trash folder different from the standard local trash folder. however, deleting emails still pushes them into the local trash folder. i have not seen this bug with a disconnected imap account.
