Installed from:    Mandriva RPMs

after setting Gcalendar to work with Kontact, I tried to do it again with contacts from Gmail. This is when Systemsetting crashed.

No, 
I could not replicate the crash. However synchro with my Google contacts does not work (It does work wit Calendar).
