It takes several seconds to log in when encrypted home directories are enabled. Entering a correct password shows no response for several seconds. Entering an incorrect password turns the username and password from blue to black.

Entering a correct password should display some affirmative indication (e.g. logging in..) and/or moving up KSplash init.
