Description brice 2010-01-27 21:50:13 UTC
Version: 1.0.0 (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc-4.4.2 standard "safe" cflags
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

digikam 1.0.0 with qt-4.6.1 and kde sc 4.3.95 takes ages to write a single keyword to a single photo (roughly 2sec) and way more for many pictures/many keywords at a time. that makes tagging unusable.
besides, in the keyword sidebar, dotted lines, check box and keyword icon are not aligned at all and you need to click on the area the check box is supposed to be to get it checked.
no such problems with qt-4.6.0 and sc 4.3.90.
reproductible anyone ?

Do you write these info to image metadata ? If yes, it sound like a problem with Exiv2 library (already reported in this room recently).

Look #224094.

wrong alignment.

Hello,
I sorry I didn't find this exiv2 "bug" entry. Recompiling with previous version now and it should be fine.
As for the other part of my report (I'm sorry, I thought these were linked to new kde/qt, not differently related problems), I join a screen-shot of the misalignment I was talking about.
Merci !

I think this will be fixed (or must be) with pure Qt4 model view port of album tree view done by Marcel and Johannes. This implementation will be available in trunk after 1.1.0 release planed this week end.

Marcel,Johannes, sound like tag icon size is the problem here. Can you reproduce the problem with model/view port ?

I don't have these current versions of Qt and KDE running.

Not reproducible with 2.x
