Adjust Time and Date from SystemSettings or the plamsa panel just crashes with KDE 4.4. RC2. It actually should pop up a password box on clicking apply. I agree, that is what it should do, and it did not do it. I tried it every time I re-booted, because my first bug, I want to minimize the usual newb stupidity. If possible. KDE 4.4 RC3 fixes the segfault for me when selecting Adjust Date and Time. Kubuntu 10.10: $ KDE_LANG=en_US systemsettings --version Qt: 4.7.0 KDE Development Platform: 4.6.2 (4.6.2) System Settings: 1.0 Works for me. When I change settings in kcm_clock and press "Apply" an authentication dialog pops up asking for my password. Well, yes, I suppose it does work now, because they fixed it at the
time, which was a long time ago. That bug was inputted in January 2010
for 10.04 LTS and they fixed it very nicely before release. I admit I
don't really understand the bug system, so I wonder if somehow the bug
didn't get reported as solved.

Works for the bug reporter, closing. Closing for real :) A very long time ago, we got a new version, and clock could not be set,
as described in the original bug. Very soon after I reported it, we got
a fix and it worked perfectly again.
After some time I got a mail telling me it was not verified, so I
realized I had to state it was solved. And, I did.
Now, after all this time, I get this mail stating it was unconfirmed.
Sounds like a problem in the bug system? IT was in fact a valid bug,
and it was promptly fixed. Well over 2 years ago by my mail record.
