Where were you dragging the files into? Does it always happen to any file?
Comment 2 Anatoly 2010-01-27 13:43:03 UTC
I drag files into any folder. It happens with all tested by me .rar archives.
When I open .zip with Arc and try to drag files into any folder I see the next message: "An error occurred. The stated adress is not supported"
Comment 3 Raphael Kubo da Costa 2010-02-09 01:15:18 UTC
I opened a RAR archive here, dragged one of its files into my "/tmp" folder which was being shown in Dolphin, and the file was extracted as expected.

Were you doing anything different?

Whoa, thanks a lot for the effort you've put into the report! :)

I can see this is a duplicate of bug 209907, which I was able to reproduce yesterday. It may be related to drag'n'drop with GTK+ applications in general, but I need to investigate further.

Thanks a lot!
