Description Hakan Bayindir 2010-01-25 11:12:48 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-trunk-686-bigmem

Symptoms: Screen is not locked before/after suspend to RAM action, if the action is called from leave menu.

When happens: If the suspend to RAM is called from leave menu (right click to desktop, select leave), screen is not locked regardless of the powerdevil configuration about the screen lock after resume.

How to reproduce:
1- Right click to the desktop
2- Click leave
3- Press turn off computer, select suspend to RAM from dropdown menu.
4- System suspends
5- Press power button
6- System wakes up, desktop kicks in. No screensaver, no password prompt.

Expected behaviour:
The screen should lock before system sleeps and system wake up with a password prompt, not the unlocked desktop.

Notes:
- Screen lock option is honored if kick-off menu's leave tab is used.
- Screen lock option is honored if power button is set to STR from powerdevil configuration.
- I don't know if screen is locked in automatic suspend to RAM situations since my desktop is not set to automatically sleep.

This still happens with KDE SC 4.6.0 when clicking on Kickoff (the K button) -> Leave -> Suspend to RAM.

The fix for http://bugs.kde.org/268149 also fix this problem. Marking this one as fixed.
