Description gumper1034 2010-01-24 18:48:50 UTC
Version: 4.3.4 (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Archlinux Packages

I'm getting random occurances of kontact causing the Xorg server to have a segmentation fault. This occurs when I select an email to open and today it just did it when I tried to open up the "trash" folder in Kontact.

When this happens my mouse and keyboard will not respond and I have to use the magic sys request keys to reboot.

I'm assuming that this is a Kontact issue as every time that this happens, I'm doing something in Kontact. Mostly when I'm checking an email.

I'm running the following:
Arch x86_64
Xorg-server 1.7.3.902-1
Xorg-server-utils 7.5.3
KDE 4.3.4
kernel 2.6.32

It's unlikely that kontact can make your X server crash.

You should open a bug on the Arch bug tracker for this issue.

I reinstalled Kontact and the problem when away.
