Description Andrey Borzenkov 2010-01-24 07:23:06 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

KDE 4.4 RC1, kernel 2.6.33-rc5, nouveau-0.0.15-0.20091221.1mdv2010.1.

I get corruptions both without effects active and with effects in XRender mode. Attached screenshot shows just booted KDE with effects disabled. With effects enabled I get random corruption of window decorations and various plasma elements.

Screen contents itself seems to be fine except very often the message list and content in kmail become dim when I switch focus to another window and remain so even when I return back.

I understand that it is not very good description and I am ready to provide more information if necessary. I just do not know which one - please ask.

Correction - screen corruption with effects *disabled* does not seem to be unique to nouveau - I get exactly the same picture as on screen shot when I boot using binary nVidia driver with effects disabled.

that's a problem of interaction between the Qt X11 graphics system and nouveau drivers, we can't do anything about that
