Sorry, I do have to correct my text. We talk about identities, not signatures: "I defined different identities for different cases, using different email adresses including mailing list adresses and including the use of specific reply addresses." Now I found out, what happens! KMail chooses the identitiy that I defined last. I deleted the critical one (including a mailing list) an now KMail uses the newest in the list. Martin Any solution or proposal for this bug? It is quite annoying because kmail almost always choses the wrong identity for new messages or replies. So you are saying that kmail uses per default the last identity used and not the one marked as "default"? Hello Björn,

I have no idea if this is the last used identity or which one. Some times it
is the kmail default, sometimes it is the specific identity that is definied
for a folder, sometimes it is any other one. To me it does not look as if
there were any rule for that.
What would I expect?
- if no specific identity is defined kmail should use the default identity
- if there is a specific identity defined kmail should use this one

dead bug report? Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
