I forgot to say that scanning to a file works as expected when using the iscan program. Thanks, for the report. Can you enable some debug info? 1) Enable KDebug for KSANE in kdebugdialog 2) Enable sane debug info by setting the environment variable SANE_DEBUG_EPKOWA to something between 1 and 128 before running the application. Then report back the debug info. Created attachment 40224 [details]
Log of scangui (Standalone version of Acquire Images plugin
I added KSANE in kdebugdialog.
First I ran
export SANE_DEBUG_EPKOWA=127
Then I ran scangui. The console output is in the attached file.
The sane debugging did not get enabled somehow... and the KSANE debug info did not reveal anything special :( Could you also try with Skanlite? I think I found the problem myself. After the scanning was done the window was frozen but I clicked it away because I thought it was finished. Probably when it's frozen, it is still saving the image so it was not finished saving the file before I quit the application. When waiting, both skanlite and scangui give a proper result. Maybe some more clear information to the user that it was saving the file might resolve this kind of problems. This bug may be marked as invalid. Thanks for the information. I'll mark it a invalid even tho there should be an indicator that the file is being saved. I guess you scanned the whole page with 600 DPI, which results in quite a big picture :) Kåre |
