What is your Poppler version? What is your distro? Sorry for the missing information, here it is:
Distribution: openSUSE 11.1 with KDE packages from Factory (currentle 4.4 RC1)
Poppler version:
> rpm -qa | grep poppler
libpoppler4-0.10.1-1.7.1
poppler-tools-0.10.1-1.7.1
libpoppler-qt3-devel-0.10.1-1.7.1
libpoppler-devel-0.10.1-1.7.1
libpoppler-glib4-0.10.1-1.7.1
libpoppler-qt4-3-0.10.1-1.7.1
libpoppler-qt4-devel-0.10.1-1.7.1
poppler-data-0.2.1-2.1.1
libpoppler-qt2-0.10.1-1.7.1
Does it happen with any pdf or with a specific one? If it's a specific one can you please attach it? It does not happen with every PDF, but with all the ones that I have created with pdflatex recently. An example is http://www.ti.informatik.uni-kiel.de/wp-content/uploads/krypto_0910/praesenzuebung_01_folien.pdf. It works for me. That poppler version is quite old, is there any chance you can update to a newer one? I'll try - do you know an openSUSE repository with an updated version? Thanks! No idea sorry Do you think it's likely that the problem is with poppler, given that these PDF files worked with okular from KDE 4.3, using the same poppler version? You have a sane thought there, the problem is i am thinking that opensuse guys compiled these packages against a newer poppler and this is why it is crashing for you that use the old one. Since it is working just fine for me. You could try reporting a bug in the opensuse bug tracker. This is coming from Poppler, the version OpenSUSE ships unfortunately has that issue.
Hi, just wanted to confirm that this bug seems to be gone in openSuSE 11.2, so I guess this is not a KDE issue. I am now enjoying KDE SC 4.4 RC2, thanks for the hard work on this, seems to be great! Thanks, Henning |
