If all the scanning applications are crashing, then this is probably something to report to libsane directly. However, could you try this: - Quit the scanning application if it is running - Start Konsole - Type "export QT_NO_GLIB=1" + Enter - Type "export MALLOC_CHECK_=" + Enter - Type "scangui" + Enter - Use the Application and check if it crashes or not Regards thanks for helping me, following your indications it runs, but, it runs only when i follow your indications, not at all when i run Xsane or scangui alone regards If it doesn't crash when following the steps I mentioned, then this is a known bug in a library named "glibc" (bug 196207).
