When setting mic it's good know where is 0dB (so default volume). That's all. I hope it get into 4.4, because I sometimes hit problem, when at higher gain mic stop work.

Whuile not strictly a duplicate of bug 263105, the features must/should be done together.

would be nice to have it... (after 6 years)..
