Description Robert Marmorstein 2010-01-10 04:51:17 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc-4.4
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

I had several different resources enabled in Akonadi. One of them is a Kolab proxy resource. The others are custom resources I wrote for accessing the project submit system on my web server. When I try to add an event in Korganizer, a dialog box comes up that asks me which resource to use. I click "akonadi calendar". Then a second dialog comes up that asks for a "storage folder" for the event. All four instances of my custom resource are there, but not the Kolab resource.

If I click "Manage Resources", the custom resources are the only ones listed UNTIL I click on one of them and select the "events" checkbox. Then, the Kolab folders all show up in the custom view. If I then select the calendar on my Kolab server and make it the default, I can add and remove events to it like normal. However, if I make anything else the default or disable the events default, the Kolab resource no longer shows up in the Manage Resources dialog. Very weird. Possibly some bug with mime type filtering in the EntityTreeModelView class?

By "manage resources view" I guess I really mean the "Akonadi resource configuration" dialog in Korganizer's resource side panel.

It seems the problem is only with the Kolab resource. If I create an ical file resource, that works fine.

I encountered the same problem.
Try to add the line
akonadi_kolabproxy_resource\InstanceCounter=1
in group InstanceCounters file ~/.config/akonadi/agentsrc
it helped me

Which versions are you using ?
Comment 5 Eugeny Shkrigunov 2012-02-14 09:31:36 UTC
4.7.4
Comment 6 Eugeny Shkrigunov 2012-02-17 17:32:24 UTC
it is still disappears (but rarely)
Comment 7 Christian Mollekopf 2012-06-08 16:17:06 UTC
Unless there is some more information available what's happening I'm going to close this bug assuming it is fixed (worksforme). That editing ~/.config/akonadi/agentsrc would help with the original problem description seems really weird, could it be that your complete kolab resource didn't load Eugeny?

This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
