Description Alan Braslau 2010-01-08 09:20:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

xrandr --output LVDS --primary
allows one to define the primary display
(Display 1 in krandrtray)
with multiple outputs.
This feature is missing from krandrtray
and should be a button "set primary"
or, better. a dropdown menu "primary Display"
in the "Size & Orientation" tab.

(By default, my laptop sets the external VGA
display as 1 and the LVDS display as 2
when docked, whereas the LVDS display is 1,
of course, when not docked. The kdm login
and desktop logout then are sent to the
VGA display. The solution is to add the appropriate xrandr line to Xsetup; However,
this feature is missing from krandrtray...)

Thank you

It does not matter if you use an xrandr-startup-script, where you told LVDS is the primary screen, krandrtray always define VGA-0 as the primary screen and it`s not changeable to LVDS

if you like to hold a presentation (using xinerama setup), this is really annoying and I hope it will be fixed soon..

sorry, I must correct myself..run a xrandr script at startup with the
"--primary" option is a workaround

but it`s right, this feature should be also in krandrtray..

That feature is not in KRandrTray, so closing this with/bug.

Thanks for reporting!
