KDE 3 had an option to use Windows shortcuts, it seems to have disappeared entirely. It was configured on the first-login dialogue, which itself is gone. Maybe this wish could be expanded to have a central keyboard-shortcuts editor for all KDE apps, which could import keyboard shortcuts from a "config file". Then such config files could be made available on sites such as kde-look. An additional benefit would be simplification of upgrading and bringing one's preferred shortcuts with him. You can easily change those to your preference, I don't think that KDE should emulate Windows (btw, how do you determine which version?), I also believe that this wouldn't be possible because of different features in the two environments. |
