Description Evandro Myller 2010-01-06 13:03:53 UTC
Version: 1.0.1 (using 4.3.85 (KDE 4.3.85 (KDE 4.4 Beta2)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-17-generic

In most of my posts I need to paste some code snippets.
If I simply copy/paste the code from a text editor (Kate) and I click "Code" button on Blogilo's toolbar, to properly format it, it goes ok.
But if, for some reason, I have to go into the "Html Editor", it transforms each new line of my snippet into a new paragraph, then I get a fully broken snippet. :(

It should simply ignore formatting on <pre><code> blocks, so it would work as expected.

Actually, I think it could be even better if we had an option in the toolbar: "Add code snippet".
Comment 2 Golnaz Nilieh 2010-01-08 14:02:09 UTC
Ignoring new lines in <pre> blocks is already committed to the trunk, but I don't think that they should be ignored in <code> tags, too.
If you use the latest code from svn and this problem exists with <pre> tags, please inform us.
And about adding an option for <pre> tags to the toolbar, I'm agree, we add it for the next release (because of kde4.4 feature freeze).

As blogilo is now archived/marked unmaintained in Gitlab, I am updating all open tickets. If a maintainer is found, feel free to reopen these tickets when working on them.
