Version:            (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

I set up a local jabber server wich i made available to public via dyndns service. Over time i noticed that my contacts are duplicated.
Currently i am just using the icq transport for public communication. I installed the server locally for development purpose and i am convinced by the xmpp!

I suggest that each time my public ip changes the contacts where imported again. Is there a binding between ip address and servername/ contact in kopete?

Other jabber clients as gajim don't replicate my contacts. If there are still questions you are welcome!
